About Emma

Originally from Bristol and now living and working in Brighton I took an early interest in art and began drawing at a young age, greatly inspired by nature and the landscape around me.

Of course life can (and did) get in the way and I have recently returned to art, specifically concentrating on oil painting during the pandemic after many years working in London as a Clinical Research Coordinator. I now live in Seven Dials, Brighton, constantly inspired  by the fabulous artists and makers based here, the Seven dials Artists group, the renowned Artists Open Houses festival, The Draw Brighton group, plus frequent pop up galleries and exhibitions.

The natural world is still at the heart of my art work, the beauty of form in small things, a garden or a sweeping Lake District landscape. I am rarely happier than when I am on top of a peak or beside a lake on a bright breezy day.

I am in the process of expanding my collection, exploring new ideas and developing my practice so do please browse completed work so far and get in touch if you would like to discuss a purchase, commission ideas, or arrange a visit to view works in person.
